Wow, your chart looks so perfect! You're getting ready to ovulate, right?

And this is your last month TTA! With you and Megan gone... well, what are we to do?!
I don't know! What will you do??

:LOL

I had to stop by and say hi. So, this was my first month off this thread and I feel like crap!! Listen to this list and I'm not imagining it either....

extreme tired to where I can barely keep my eyes open no matter how much I sleep.

I am nauseated

I have food aversions

Smells make me want to hurl

My breasts are killing me

Low back pain

stretching feelings in c/b scar.

I'm cd16 so I am praying it is just O symptoms. DH is a tad freaked.... :LOL

welcome back to the thread. fwiw, i had "symptoms" like that last month and af came right on schedule, well actually, af came three days early. i have no idea what caused it for me, but luckily it seems it was temporary as i feel much better now (except for the summer cold i caught from my 2yo).

Thanks! I'll pop in too. Hi, Megan!!!!!!!

I am getting ready to ovulate early this month. Which would explain why last night i actually wanted to have sex :LOL.
Megan-- wouldn't that be just the way? :LOL

My chart is looking just brilliant. The cycle is a bit longer than I'm accustomed to, but I think my temperature will drop and I'll get my period tomorrow or Saturday (and I've gotten my period on a Friday or Saturday since BooBah's birth, so it makes sense). It's all good.

Just wanted to check in...

I'm on CD9 of will likely turn out to be my second-to-last avoiding cycle. Only two more eggs that need avoiding - we can totally do this!

CD 1. My chart is extremely simple to interpret, very straightforward. Even Mike understands it! :LOL

Yeay, I just bought Taking Charge of Your Fertility! So I can officially join this thread. Need to not get pg for four years!! Aaah. I think I can, I think I can....

:LOL

Hi mamas. I was part of this thread over 9 months ago. Obviously I didn't do a very good job But I'm back now. Can anyone tell me when and how to start charting again. I am 5 weeks postpartum and still spotting.

I didn't start til I got my first pp period when my dd was 2, but I actually wanted to get pregnant before then. It wasn't until I figured it wasn't happening anyway and I went back to school that I became fertile. Go figure.

It depends on when you think you're likely to start ovulating & menstruating again. I start early, because I start ovulating fairly early on. I actually ovulated about 5 weeks after my son was born. Five weeks!! And that was nursing around the clock, cosleeping, and carrying him everywhere. I had a period at 3.5 weeks and ovulated at 5. I was spitting nails. :LOL

But things are going well now.

With ds #1 I had postpatrum bleeding for 2 months and then the very next month I had my period. I was like you exclusively bfing, cospleeping, wearing etc. So I am expecting my period to return pretty quickly this time as well. I haven't seen any signs like cervial fluid or anything to indicate fertility just yet.

I'll join you guys next month. :)

Hi people.

I've been on the pill for a little over 6 years. DH and I are not financially ready for a baby right now, but will be probably in January. I WAS just going to stay on the pill until the end of December, but for a random variety of reasons decided to go ahead and start charting to avoid after this pill cycle. (Lent my first edition TCOYF out to a coworker, checked out the second edition from the library and read most of it on a long road trip today, psyched myself up to "this is something I can do", you know the drill. :LOL)

Bad news is that I've JUST started this pack of pills, though, so it'll be close to 3 weeks before I start my chart. I don't want to just quit in the middle of a pack.

But anyway next month I'll be joining you. Haven't decided yet if I want to use fertility friend or paper charts.

One thing I'm wondering about though is that I went on the pill when I was 21... and now that I've read all about cyclical cervical fluid, I try to remember to my cycles before I got on the pill, and I don't remember ever having any cervical fluid sensations. Hopefully I'll have SOMEthing because I want to use that AND my temperature so I can be safe. Otherwise... like one of the other posters, I might have to come back to this board in 9 (10) months. :LOL

Hm. When I read about cervical fluid, a lot of things became clear to me. I knew exactly what they were talking about, because I'd always noticed...well, that I needed to wear pantiliners on the days I felt most interested. Understanding the role that hormones play, it all made so much more sense.

I've heard, however, that lots of women don't have gobs of cervical fluid, and they'd never be aware of it at all if they weren't charting and checking internally (that is, getting it from their cervix instead of their vaginal openings). I think you'll be fine; between the thermometer and the cervical fluid, you'll probably be able to figure out exactly where you are in your cycle.

Hi there! I CTA but AF hasn't returned since I had my DD, so I don't post often because there isn't much to report.

But, I wanted to say that I read TCOYF for the first time after I'd been on the pill for about 3-4 years and been PG or breastfeeding with no AF for another 2 years. So after all that time with no "normal" cycles, I had no recollection of cyclical changes to my cervical fluid either. I remembered feeling wet or lubed up when I was horny :LOL but that's about it. So it was really neat to see my body start working and to understand it for the first time. I think that you will notice the cervical fluid now that you're aware of it and know to pay attention to it. Good luck, see you next month!
I just wanted to add as well that I didn't "notice" any of this stuff before I started charting, but it must have been there, because it's there now. I think once you know what's going on, you can find the signs that have always been there but you didn't notice because you didn't know that they were there to look for in the first place. Wow, that sentence went on a bit, and I'm not sure it makes sense! I guess I think it all boils down to awareness--if you're not aware, things will be happening right under your nose and you won't see them. It applies to everything too, not just your body. I must say, I love the awareness I have of my body since I started charting!

Hi everybody!! I haven't posted with you TTAers in a long time...been too busy trying to figure out what my body was doing :LOL I finally got a REAL PP AF a month ago and just finished up with my 2nd PP AF. CD 6. So things are (sort of) back to normal. I've been getting freaked out b/c my cycles are longer than they've ever been before, but I guess I'll just get used to it.
I have baby fever big time...but it's okay, because we think it'll be TTC time around Decemberish. I'd love to have a 2006 baby, just a late 2006 baby if I can! Both of my cycles so far have been anovulatory, so I don't know if it will work out that way at all.
glad things are getting back to normal for you. hope you start o'ing before december!!! good luck with ttc then.

i'm still here. cd25. my last two cycles have been 25 and 26 days (shortish LPs) so i expect af any day now.
