Hi,

we just moved to rockdale county and looking for a reggio or sudbury type school on the east and/or south side of atlanta. We are desperate as we have little time.

any help would be great.

The Oakhurst Cooperative Preschool project may fit your bill, but won't open until the fall of 2006. This is in Decatur, not close but not too far from you.

It's probably too late for this now for you, but I just wanted to let you know about the Grant Park Cooperative Preschool in (obviously!) Grant Park, near Zoo Atlanta. My children both go there, and I just started teaching there as well. It's a Reggio-inspired preschool that has been working directly with Amelia Gambetti for the past few years (thanks to the generosity of Inspired Practices, a local non-profit group that supports the study of REA) as well as a local group of other Reggio-inspired schools.

thank you for the info on the school. can you give me info about other schools in the area that use an reggio style. I feel so discouraged by the schools around here. I find the parent partnership is weak and more talk than walk. you can email me directly at sparklefishq@yahoo.com.

Thank you Jill
