Movies that freak you out - Page 5

I saw The Omen in the theater when I was 14. WTH was my friend's mom thinking, taking us to see that?? I have had no desire to see horror movies since then. For me, it is just not fun to be scared. Real life is scary enough.

I found A Clockwork Orange extremely disturbing. I have no desire to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory because the pictures of Johnny Depp from that movie remind me of Malcolm McDowell's character in A Clockwork Orange.

The Ring messed me up!

I've always been afraid of The Rocky Horror Picture Show

The Nanny (an obscure movie with Bette Davis) scared me

The Terminator

The TV movie Fatal Vision about the Jeffrey MacDonald case freaked me out when they showed the way the prosecution thought it happened. The sight of a Daddy and husband doing those things really bothered me.

Pet Semetary now that I am a parent, the scene where the dad is running after Gage and trying to get to him before he gets to the road and at the last minute, he trips and falls and that baby gets killed in the road...I'm tearing up thinking about it

I LOVE the name Gage but you could not have paid me enough money to name my son that after seeing that movie. I had myself convinced that with that name, he would be destined to the same fate.

Pregnancy does weird things to the brain!

Thanks for ruining the new Chocolate Factory for me. That's one of my all time favorites, and I couldn't pinpoint WHY Johnny Depp was kinda creepy to me this time. A Clockwork Orange says it all.

Halloween and Friday 13th freak me out

I have never seen The Exorcist, and I am debating putting it on my BB.com list.

I HATED The Mothman Prophecies - fell asleep it was sooo boring.

DRAGONFLY gave me goosebumps.

I loved The Blair Witch Project. I saw it in the theater and everyone around me was barfing from the motion sickness. I thought it was great and perfectly creepy.

The Ring and Signs were 2 of the dumbest movies I've ever seen.

13 Ghosts was good and creepy

I will never ever ever watch Cujo again as long as I live. Just writing that word out means I that tonight I WILL have nightmares. * Sigh *

Thanks for reminding me of Gage. DS says "Mommy I want to Play with you" a lot, and now it's gonna creep me out!

Witchboard scared me all 50 times I watched it as a kid.

I think my all time favorite movie to be freaked out by is April Fools Day.

I have to be careful though. I, too, am one of those people who cart stuff around in my head for a long time. I find myself thinking about things as if they are real when they aren't (like wondering how the kids from Dawson's Creek are doing now or hoping that Ephram gets over his anger at his dad over the summer).

OMG I don't know how many times this summer I have thought to myself, "I wonder what country Ephram is in now and how he is doing?" :LOL

What was that Stephen King movie where that writer is trapped in that crazy fan's home and she gets mad that he got out of bed so she smashes his ankles with a sledge hammer? Yeah, that movie scares me so bad that I can't sleep with my feet uncovered!

Shannon
Sounds like some of my dreams after seeing the Ring!

The Stephen King Movie was Misery

And yes Mothman Prophecy freaked me out too...never again will I goto West Virginia...I frequently drive from the East Coast to the midwest and the quickest way is to go through West Virginia but no way in h3!! am I doing that!!!

Memento, damn, I love that movie. I *still* don't fully understand what happens.

Back to scary movies...

The Ring

The Sixth Sense

In the Mouth of Madness ... sooo scary, that creepy old guy on the bike still haunts me.

And Requiem For A Dream, I definitely needed a shower after that one. A hot one, with lots, and lots, and lots of antibacterial soap. *shivers*

Honestly China, didn't I say maybe not though? Really, as much as I love the guy, I think if it came down to it, even I would vote for you in a poll (especially if it was public).

*Ahem*.....excuse me while I look for a crucial part of my wardrobe........ : Ahhh ~ that's better.

China, who is beginning to see the depth of her need for serious help......

Pet Cemetary was the creepiest...The sister, Zelda, freaked me out the worst. I had nightmares about her for weeks...of course it didn't help that I was 9 months pregnant when I saw that movie, I always dreamed that woman was after my baby. The House on Haunted Hill was really freaky.... it was about a haunted insane asylum. It's got that wacked out slow motion photography with the jerky movement thing you guys were talking about. The end credits are themed to a Marylyn Manson song, "Sweet Deams are made of This." The whole thing makes my skin crawl.

My favorite movie is Memento!

A movie I saw recently that bothered me was Open Water.

28 Days Later... That scared me so bad

As a kid, Children of the Corn and Witchboard scared the H*LL out of me. For long periods of time I was freakedout by those movies.

More recently, The Butterfly Effect freaked me out pretty bad. I loved the movie, but yikes. Freaky.

Seven, specifically the sloth scene, is the only movie to ever give me a nightmare. Ugh. The whole movie was disturbing.

Clockwork Orange was also disturbing - I quit watching it only partway through.

Some one mentioned Hotel Rwanda - it was really well done and not as disturbing as one might expect a movie about genocide to be.
Just saw War of the Worlds...have to add that one to my list!

HelloKitty, my sis is afraid of WW, and also Mary Poppins and Wizard of Oz.

I loved Memento!

I am not a scary movie girl but I did like Signs. yikes, it scared the poopy outta me.

some of you mamas, that is some crazy movie-watchin' you are doing. I can't believe what gets produced!
