30+ TTC 1 yearish JULY - Page 2

W4B is such a sweet woman. and she's lucky to get to meet you!

M - one more thing about the prednisone, the Urologist said they see the best results (which are spotty at best) at 9 months use. Which pretty much says it could be dumb luck. We wanted to try the steriods before IVF, just to show we gave it a chance. We're planning the IVF in september.... but hoping for luck! I know you don't want to do IVF, right?

Well today is our first IVF teaching... we'll see what we learn.

Good luck with your IVF class, Korin! I hear they've improved things even since we did it almost 4 years ago (smaller needles, I hear)

I'm thinking of contacting Martha Stewart and suggesting that she start a new paint palate geared specifically for ttc women. She could start with "Negative Home Pregnancy Test White" for example. There is nothing whiter on the planet, is there? (WHY did I waste my money yet again????). She could move on to "Urine Yellow", and "My Eyes are So Bloodshot from Crying They Resemble Cherry Lifesavers Red".

I calculated that we have spent a minimum of $18,732 ttc over the past 7 years. I realize that is conservative to some, but invested that money would come out to be almost $30,000?

I knew it would be negative, but I still needed to put some closure on this cycle. Bah, humbug.

ST, I've having a heck of a time finding decent yarn around here. EVERYTHING seems to be coming up acrylic. I found a decent blend, but I've been searching for Lions Yarn Cotton Ease to no avail. I just bought some worsted to do a baby blanket with. Congrats on being 27 weeks, girl!

Johana, you must feel like you are in perpetual jet lag with the sun doing crazy thing. I think on your way outta Barrow, you need to stick up a sign at the airport reading "TURN BACK! UNINHABITABLE!"

Some of the needles are smaller....some of them are not. :LOL

Just got back from the IVF teaching... Adina, you're right. Totally overwhelming. Bah.
Oh, Hill, I think you SHOULD call Martha with those paint colors. Cause that is some : :
Little bit huh? I am trying to remember how to mix all the different stuff....since I have to start on Friday and all....
Yeah. our docs office gives you this nice little check off calendar, that tells you what to do, when to do it and how much... should make things a little easier to 'swallow'. haha

Okay, Adina and Korin, so are you guys geared up to inject yourselves??? It *does* feel totally overwhelming and with the cost (financial and emotional) so high you feel so much pressure not to mess up. Deep cleansing breath, ladies, you can do this!
Wait, are you 2 doing IUI or IVF?
Polka, I'm doing one more IUI (after this cycle - just had an IUI last week) andthen I'll start IVF in August. Adina is on the IVF cycle now!
Holy Egg-grabbing Batman - :LOL

We are are considering a few IUIs in the fall - these Drs seem quite frantic for me to get PG since I'm in my mid 40s

Just the info I've gathered here is quite overwhelming & I've not begun yet...

Bravo to you all.

I do like the paint color idea. :LOL
Yep...my bcps finish the 12th, and cd 1 will be around the 16th. Retrieval should be the 28th or so. And then transfer of embryos the 31st or 2nd(august). So here we are, zipping alone.

Yeah - Korin, I have a calendar and a list and all....I just need to consolidate into the little notebook I bought, so I have my calendar with all my info and when i do things and blah blah blah. In one spot! I hate having all the info spread out among 4 handouts.

In good news I seem to have an a/c unit to use for my bedrest at the beginning of August. Which is awesome - cause it is gonna be like 120º in my room here.

My roomie is up to speed on injections. which is also good.

WOW ?!?! :LOL

: : : : : : for you all
Yeah, no kidding huh? Sometimes wow is all you can say!

Oops, Korin, I got mixed up because didn't you also recently do a test catheterization and had some difficulty? Anyway, I'm not trying to jinx ya but talking about IVF just after you had your IUI!

Go, Adina, go! I am really excited for you guys. Keep us posted through the process. . .

I have the flashing "m" at day 27 on my monitor which tells me Af is looming.

Korin and Adina, thinking of you girls today...
K, I would do IVF if it came to that, but dh is really not into it because of the $ (which pisses me off bc we're spending 25k on his schooling next year) and bc of the conception out of the body thing...I'm scared of the needles and everything, but I would just suck it up.

Anyways, I'm really hopeful bc the acupuncture he's doing seems to be producing good effects. He used to get really hot easily (too much fire) and now he does not. The other day he even wore a long sleeve shirt and I was in a tank top. We all know heat is not good for the boys, right, so I'm hoping this will have a boosting effect on the swimmers.

Come on, Aries baby, come to me!!

Ary, Polka, Velvet, W4B, DJgirl, K98S02, Johanna,Celeste, Annie and ST:
hugs to all of you. And Lexie, you too if you're reading (and Shannon, but you're probably too busy with Molly!)

Adina, you're so well organized! But then again, I'm not suprised, you seem to organize everything well. When my time comes, I may ask for some help with the organization part.. but hopefully you'll be so so tired from being pregnant! Glad you got an AC for the transfer bedrest.

to everyone... sounds like things are really heating up on this thread!

haven't been around much, but i've been lurking in the shadows... :

Today’s 14dpo... I’m holding my breath. Forgot to test this morning, and I keep checking the cm... no sign of spotting (usually that's the first sign for me)... this is my longest lp w/o progesterone supplements. A little crampy, but nothing else to report. Gut feeling: it’ll be a bfn again. chart's in my sig.

May-Lily, I just wanted to send a shout-out to you – I have not forgotten you! I just have not had any time to pm you back in any kind of thoughtful way. I hate to say it, but it will prolly be this weekend before I have a chance!

Hi everyone: I hope I am on the right thread. Does 30+ mean women over 30? If so then may I join in?
We have been TTC for well over a year for #3, but no luck whatsoever. I am now on day 6 of my cycle and not feeling lucky at all.

Ary, I am so sorry for your loss. I myself have had 3 m/c so I know exactly how you feel.

Adina, best of luck to you and everyone else, it would be nice to go to the expecting board would it not!
