Head down and almost 7 lbs.!

Thats the news from my 37 week appt. today. I am a little scared that she is almost 7 lbs. with 3 or more weeks to go but its just my OB's guess (by feeling my belly), though he was right about Max's size.

Other than that everything is good, GBS is neg. and other than my swollen ankles and occasionally painful sciatic on the left side I feel good still - have a tough time breathing from time to time but not horrible.

I have appts. for the next three weeks already - hoping I dont need the one on the 26th!

Morgan that's great news!! As for the weight, maybe that little bean will be fully cooked sooner rather than later?? I get the sciatic on my left side, too. I think she's posterior, but facing somewhat to my right side (hiccups are always on lower left, and kicking is always on upper right), and I wonder if her position is what causes the sciatic pain. Seeing a chiro tomorrow, and maybe that will cause her to reposition ... it will be interesting to see how it goes.

I also scheduled my appointments through 40 weeks (last is on 7/29), but hope I don't need to go that long!!

Wonderful news....I think 7 lbs is a great weight for 37 weeks - even with a 0.5 growth per week that still just puts you at a nice 8.5 lbs. I always like it when babies come out with a little bit of extra fat stores, they seem so strong and healthy!

Add me to the list of folks with left side sciatic-type pain. And - Shanana, your description of hiccups on lower left and kicking on upper right is dead on for me too - today I swear I could almost grab his/her little foot it was sticking out so far!

Yay Morgan!

On Friday, DD was measured at 6.5 at 36 weeks, so we're right about the same, it seems. I'm praying for an early bird, too, as DD #1 was 7 lbs 10 oz at 41 weeks.

I no longer believe my OB when he tells me how much my babe will weigh! I went to 42 weeks with Kemma and they told me at 41 weeks she was a minimum of 10 pounds. Bah! She came out a week later at 9 # 3 oz.

I, too, like chubby babies, they seem so much less fragile.

just remember it is an estimate.

They are saying mine will be in the 8 pound range...eeek! :LOL

Riley was 7lb 7oz with an IV...that was a nice size.

Mine is just the opposite! Hiccups on the lower right and I can feel her but up on my upper left. But I think she is posterior too because I very sharp body parts (like knees or something) out the front - by my belly button.

I have my every 2 weeks chiro appt. today so hopefully that helps - usually does for at least a few days. Hope if she is posterior that will help flip her around too!

My OB was VERY close on his estimate of Max - before induction at 42 weeks he guessed 8+ lbs and Max was 8 lbs. 5 oz. I think he is careful not to make an estimate if he cant really tell.
