When to TTC again?

I am due for my annual this month and I was going to talk to my gyno who is also my ob about how long we should wait to ttc again? I can't get an appt until Jan, she's apparently all booked up with preggos (she's great). I had a c-section so I was thinking it was 18 months or 24, can't remember. I wanted to talk to her now because if its 18 months I won't see her again until right before its TTC time and I want to know in advance.

So any advice is appreciated, TIA

TTC (time to conceive)???? If that's what it means then here is the answer I got from my doctor after my second c/s 9 months ago.
After he was finished sewing me up, I ask him, when it would be safe enough to get pregnant again and he said to wait at least 3 - 6 months.
I'm not pregnant yet, great benefit of nursing, but I'm trying.
Hope this helps.

My ob told me to wait six months....He told me not to freak out if I got pregnant before that, but try to wait. I did read on the internet (somewhere, I don't know) that it's better to have 18 months between births.
Hope this helps, Ruthie

9 months

There was an article in the local newspaper that said that, since it takes between 6 and 9 months for the Cesarian incision to heal, it is best to wait the 9 months before ttc again. The article said that the chances of rupture are 3x higher if the babies are born less than 18 months apart than if they are born more than 18 months apart, which means conceiving more than 9 months after the Cesarian birth. Doesn't Cesarian birth sound better than Cesarian section?
