How many hours of sleep are your kids getting? My six yr old ds gets about 9 to 10 hrs. a night. He seems fine, is excelling in school, growing well, and has a good disposition most of the time. But some of my friends are criticizing me, saying he goes to bed too late, etc. I do work during the day, and I feel like it is important he gets enough time with my dh and me in the evening. My mom intuition says we are doing fine, but I guess I need support.

My six year old usually gets 10 hours. Sometimes a little less or more. Sounds like your dh is doing just great. As long as a 'later' bedtime does not result in too much stress during the morning rush, I wouldn't change a thing!
