What are you eating today?

Breakfast:
1 bowl of Kashi GoLean/milk
large handful of organic strawberries

Snack:
oatmeal banana muffin
a few craisins

Lunch:
leftover chicken/veggie casserole
sliver of homemade fudge someone left in the breakroom
and then I discovered a couple of Thin Mints in my drawer :

Snack:
organic red delicious apple
decent sized pile of almonds

Dinner: eeeek!
1 rather large bowl of lowfat ice cream with ready-whip
2 slices whole wheat toast with peanut butter

Snack:
hot chocolate from Borders Cafe

Evaluation: need less sugar, more protein and veggies (though the veggies aren't usually an issue) - need to make dinner ahead of time on Thursdays (my weekly day at the office) so I don't just crash and eat junk - maybe a crockpot night is in order

I did bring a Cliff bar and a cup of Fantastic Foods minestrone to start a little emergency food stash at work. And I am officially craving Beachbaby's spinach salad! :LOL

Is anyone else interested in keeping this a regular thread? I definitely do better when I have to report to someone. LOL

I have gotten into a boring routine lately, but it keeps me eating healthier than grabbing fast food on the go. Todays menu:

Breakfast: Egg, slice of cheese, bacon on an english muffin (make at home, eat in the car on the way to work)
Morning Snack: Yogurt, Banana and cashews
Lunch: Can of soup & Romaine/Spinach Salad (with egg, turkey and ham mixed in for protein) & cherries (yum, have been on a cherry kick this week)
Afternoon Snack: Ham/Turkey/Cheese sandwich on WW bread w/tomato
Dinner: Chicken breast, zucchini and maybe some rice on the side.
Evening Snack: Not sure. I've been bad and indulging in ice cream, but we are out.

Its a lot of food, but I find that I have to eat every 2-3 hours or I get sick and feel yucky.

it's not yet lunch-time here today, but so far I've had:

breakfast--homemade blueberry-pecan bread (went blueberry picking on the 4th! Yum!); skim milk

snack--cashews

lunch--I packed a spinach salad with grilled chicken, corn, black beans, and pine nuts; small can of V-8...get to eat it in 55 minutes! :LOL

dinner--who knows!

Breakfast: I had an egg and a half; slice of watermelon; half-cup of coffee with half-cup of milk.

Snack: more fruit of some sort

Lunch: sandwich that DH made for me this morning, how nice.

....uh, looking at this I see that I need to watch the protein intake and lack thereof...

Lunch: turkey slices, whole wheat kaiser bun, slice of cheese, handful of grapes. Fruit smoothie.

No clue what I'm having for dinner. I'm hoping the dinner fairy will show up.

I'm glad there are some other coffee drinkers on here! I have cut way, way, way back, but when I am feeling totally crappy and have to work I make some 1/2 or 1/4 caf. And sometimes if I'm going to crash in the afternoon I have a diet coke.

Anyhow- you guys are all so healthy!!! I eat really well overall, but still eat a lot of junk food as well.

breakfast- mini donuts and coffee (very unusual for me!)

snack- Odwalla bar

lunch- pad thai with tofu frozen meal, organic yogurt w/ fresh strawberries

snack- 2 fresh cookies (I always get these on Thursdays at work- they sell them to raise money for the residents, so how can I refuse? It's charity!

organic mozz. cheese

dinner- still sitting here not making any! Will probably have spinach/cheese ravioli and sauce.

OK, have eaten light today b/c I am so busy:

AM: tea, pint of yummy raw milk, Amy's organic toaster strudle
PM: candy bar at work (since I didn't eat lunch -- bad, bad)
Just now (PM): crackers with brie and olives and 1 awesome peach, 2 more pints of milk

Dinner will be: chicken breast sandwiches and veggies of some sort

1/2 cup coffee with fat free organic milk

amy's organic mac and cheese
bread pudding

tuna salad w.cranberries (so yummy!) on toasted sourdough with organic swiss
three strawberries

two slices of sourdough
ginger apricot cream cheese

I usually eat WAY more than this but was so busy all day. I rarely skip a big bowl of cereal with vanilla soy...some days thinking of what cereal is in the pantry gets me out of bed in the morning!

Mid day snack: Nectarine
Later on: Nachos and salsa

There may be more but that's what I remember eating

Mmmmm, I am also eating a lot of Kashi GoLean Crunch- very satisfying cereal! I also am totally digging this Nuts Galore granola I found at Whole Foods- it is one of the very few foods that has filled me up for more than an hour! I made some homemade granola with dried apples, oatmeal, and almonds.

Today I did fairly well:

B- multigrain hot cereal with ground flax and honey, preg. tea

snack - my tradition after mw appointments is to stop at Starbucks afterwards- I had a decaf latte (full fat for once!) and iced pound cake.

very late lunch- took a nap- olive spread on crackers, melted brie on triscuits, fresh pineapple, regular iced tea

D- went to a local cafe- asparagus frittata and baby greens with balsamic vinegar dressing.

Now that I've eaten healthy all day, I am craving some junk!!

I also enjoyed a rare cup of coffee today!

I ate:
Breakfast: blueberry granola, raspberries & soy milk

Snack: veggie turkey slices, avocado & sprouts on sourdough

Lunch: homemade burrito- beans, greens, sprouts, flax seed oil. Pregnancy tea.

Snack: Ok so I ate evil Ramen noodles : . I swear, I HATED Ramen my entire life, until this pregnancy. Why?? Ramen is such crap! I think my fetus likes it, haha (WHY??). Also, a banana & some cookies.

Dinner: I made uber delicious barley & mushroom & bell pepper soup, and basil/dill biscuits. I am going to eat them til I explode.

I drink sooOOoOo much water all day. It's amazing how much water I can put away.

It's funny, just this very day I began a food journal. I want to see if I'm getting the variety of nutrients I need. And I haven't gained any weight in well over a month. I feel like I should have? I dunno.

OMG I have had that craving. I kept sending DH to Whole Foods to look for the healthy version and he got a few things but none had just the right "taste" (read: MSG). I haven't eaten them for years and had decided that they are disgusting. At 10 cents a pack, we used to to make them in high school by holding the noodle brick under running hot water in the sink -- gross!
