Buuuuut, JKR *HAS* said there is a strong possibility of a 8th books later on as an epilogue and to tie up loose ends...Sooo we can always hold out hope for an 8th book..And if I was JKR I'd write another one!! Who wouldn't want to stay on the money train that is the Harry Potter empire! I'd write 20 books!!! "Harry Potter goes to Wizarding College" "Harry Potter and His Courtship and Marriage to Ginny Weasley" "Harry Potter and His Kids" "Harry Potter Hits His Mid-Life Crisis" etc etc..

As for the Weasleys being related to other pure bloods..I think they're all inter related..Seems like Sirius says that in OTP...But Voldy is a half-blood isn't he??

I think we're in for some REAL shockers in the next two books..Especially this one..I think JKR wants to shake people up!! BRING IT ON!!! I'm so ready to read this book..I seriously don't know how I'm going to wait another week!!!

And what are the chances of amazon screwing up the delivery?? I'm only going to be in AL (where I'm having it delivered while on vacation) until Sunday so I really need that book to be delivered to the right place on Saturday..Now I'm scared!!!

Well, you couldn't actually read one of those because Harry's going to court Luna, not Ginny... :LOL

When did JKR say that? I really thought that I'd read that she said they there *couldn't* be any more books after the end of the 7th, which made me think that either he dies, or something else catastrophic happens... Maybe I dreamed that. I've been a bit odd lately...

I do think it's odd that Bellatrix is the only deatheater who is female. Also, I thought it was interesting the way that her relationship with Voldy-thingy played out in OoTP. She was the only one that he saved, out of all the death eaters there in the Ministry. She seemed enamored with him, and fearful in a sort of way. She's married, which would make for an interesting conversation back at the ol' Voldy cave....

Here's what I think for HBP (these are not based in any sort of leakage reading or anything, just me and my little ol' brain):

--We find out that Petunia is really a wizard who chooses not to be a wizard because of some sort of self-hatred.

--Harry and Luna fall in love.

--Hermione and Ron finally get together.

--Neville comes into his own and plays a bigger part in this book. Perhaps he's the one sacrificed.

I cannot wait. We are going to the beach the next day and I fully expect to read it all while we're there.

I think that Amazon is going to be just fine - they anounced that they were going to sell 1,000,000 pre-orders and stock went up. I mass screwing up would hurt the ole' bottom line.

I realize that the Weasely's are related, I just wonder how...I need one of those appendix family trees like is in the LOTRs

JKR has said that there might not be anymore HP books because he might not survive these But she has hinted that there might be spin off series.

Good one, but I just can't seem to buy into it. everyone in my neighbor hood is flat out amazed that I'm a HP fan. Don't fit the mold I guess : but I am on pins and needkles waiting on this last book. I have the entire 1-5 and have been on ends for months(literally) waiting on it. I didn't get a chance to preorder cause I didn't knwo where I coudl be and wasn't sure how it worked. So here I am in smallsville AR, where I can only get it at a handful of places anyway. Ugh, is it too late to order?
I've alaways thought that aunt petunia knew more about the magic world that she pretended BTW.

I can't wait until next week!!I have HBP reserved at Borders,but I did that last year with OTP and waited over 3 hours in line.I just can't do that this year.So I think I'll pay the extra couple of $$ and get it at midnight at my local Stop and Shop.Much less traveling,hopefully no long lines.Going to go cuddle near ds and read OTP right now !

Yeah, that'd be me. And I'll raise you by pointing out that I read with a book group and I've already read all 11 (we take December off to have a nice dinner near the holidays) books for the year in anticiaption of the necessarity of reading all five previous books just before the release of book six. Oh, the madness to which I succumb!

If you go through the sections where they are in potions class, you will come up with a number of plants that you can use. Wormwood (which I personally think is quite beautiful- I accidentally bought some for my mother for her birthday, and when she read the tag, she was like "Oh! Like in Harry Potter!" :LOL)

oh thanks i knew deadly nightshade is poison...
several years ago my mom put in an all poisonous garden. she took it out after a few years though and deadly nightshade was one of them...

I think I read the bit about JKR contemplating an 8th book on her site in the FAQ's..But don't quote me on that..I'll try to check and make sure that's where I read it..

I'd love to see more books or a spin-off series..Hands down these are the best books I've ever read other than LOTR..

As for Harry and Luna, NO WAY!!! It's Luna and Neville all the way baby!! I just think it was so telling with Ginny becoming much more important in OOTP and her breaking up with that boy. And Ron saying she has to pick someone "more worthy" on the train home in OOTP and kinda lookin' at Harry or something like that. I really hope they end up together. Too cute!!
