When I was in high school, in the '80s, there was a song that got air time on a Toronto radio station. It was one of my favorites, but I can't think of the title or artist. It's a girl group--or at least the voice is female and it's all about a sweater. It's more spoken than sung and it's the story of accidentally taking home the sweater of the boy you like after a night at camp ("You practically slept together because your sleeping bag was right next to his") and imagining that now he's your boyfriend and when you wear it to school, he's like "Hey, that's my sweater. Give it back. My mom's looking for it."
OK, I don't know if my quotes are exact, but does anyone remember this song? It might be called "The Sweater Song" or "Boyfriend's Sweater" or something. I"m almost positive that the band is Canadian. I never heard this song on an American station.
