Book 6 leaked

This happened last week? Did anybody else know about this? This is the first I'm hearing about it.

I'd take the autographed plate!

Wow! I hadn't heard that! I'd take an autographed plate too!!!

I'd take the autographed plate but I'd read the book FIRST!!!!!

Actually, I think it would drive me bonkers to read the book a week early and not be able to talk about it yet!!!

It was the Superstore near my mom's house, they only sold 15 copies and so far three have been returned. I would be taking leave from my job to read very, very quickly. :LOL

A court did what now? because obviously this is the most pressing issue of our times ... the plot has been circulating for a bit now for those who wanted a peek - DH is waiting for the book to be in his hot little hands before reading anything about it and I haven't even read the last one yet ( oh! the horror and shame )

Gee I wish the lucky canadian would drop me a clue. Email me! email me, lol! I woudl definitly return the book for an autograpghed plate.

I'd read the last two chapters and take it back for the plate.

Nothing much about the plot has been revealed even though there are lots of rumours flying about. JKR will answer in very cryptic terms that "such and such will be important" or "such and such won't factor into this one" but really I've read everything I could get my hands on in the way of spoilers and I know nothing about the book!!! They are soooo careful not to let anything slip out beforehand!!

I can't wait until Saturday!!!!!! I'm gonna be sooooo tired from staying up late reading this weekend!!

The courts don't only deal with the most pressing issues of our times. At least, I don't think so! They're here to uphold laws at all levels, even things that some people find petty.

And as far as I know, there has been no circulation of the plot at all. Rumors, yes. But nothing confirmed. And even the rumors are quite minimal.

That's true about courts - I think though that coming here after reading in news and current events ...it upset me how easily and quickly this could be dealt with when other courts have royally Messed up and cost people their lives.

As for the plot - don't really care ( as I said I haven't read the last one yet - DD was born right before the release and I haven't had time to get back to the series - DH read it cover to cover the day of release) - rumors have been flying yes - and so has plot ( granted fairly recently but still) - not everyone involved with the book between writing and release is following the rules about not leaking .

Sorry if it upsets you that I don't think this is a big issue . I hope everyone's copy is in their hands early on release day and you enjoy the book.

flame away but so what?

I really don't see what the big freaking deal is that a couple got accidentally sold early. It's not like people aren't going to buy the book even if they did find out what happens. And not everyone buys books the first day it comes out so the info will be out there anyway before many people purchase. I think this is mountain out of a molehill and I could care less about having the authors autograph.

I agree with Arduinna that it just doesn't seem like a HUGE issue. I mean I understand the want for secrecy as I stated in another thread if I had seen it I would have booght it hands down. But I would have returned cause I do want an autograpgh :

I don't know why anyone would flame or be upset. But I also don't get why someone would post to a thread discussing this to say it's stupid to discuss it. Why not just not discuss it?

I don't get the concept that we can only talk about, think about, worry about, or care about things of utmost importance and significance. Sometimes it's nice to worry about something a little lighter, knowing that no matter how things turn out, nobody dies, and nothing terrible happens.

And I can totally understand that some people just don't care much, if at all, about the Harry Potter books. But so what? Does that mean that other people can't care and can't enjoy discussing them? That's the attitude that bothers me. You don't care? Good for you. Other people do care? Good for them. There's no right and wrong there.

Id on't see the part where someone said it was stupid to discuss it?? Only that some feel that it doesn't matter fi the book leaked or not cause it's coming out soon anyway.

I never said it was stupid to discuss it.

I just think the publishers ect have made it into a bigger deal than it should be, IMO.

agree, don't agree

no biggie

Of course they would, they get more publicity for their book and it can increase sales.

Why should those who bought the book be punished for something that is not thier mistake. If they return the books are they going to be allowed to be first in line to get their copy back? I didn't read it in this link, but I read it in another that they are banned from reading the book until the release date, not just from discussing it.

Actually I was mistaken, according to the stuff I read the store that sold the books is the one that went to court and requested the gag order.
