Baby Blessing w/ pictures

My girlfriend (who's 32 weeks) and I threw a baby blessing for each other yesterday afternoon. We each invited our closest girlfriends (several overlap) and one friend put together a beautiful mother-centered binding ceremony in which every woman gave a blessing and pledge to each of us. There were two other pg women in attendance and it was so beautiful! My cousin did a blessing belly dance and henna painting for us and we decorated votive candles for each woman to light when we go into labor.

I honestly feel blessed. I mean, I know that's the idea, but it really made me feel so special and loved and truly welcomed into the circle of womanhood in a way that nothing else ever has.

Check out my pics - the belly decoration is truly AWESOME. If I take care of it, it should last about 2 weeks! Melina's Blessing

Supposedly, if I take good care of it, my decoration should last for about 2 weeks.

And YES, I still have an innie!

I didn't think that was possible :LOL !!! What'd you use? Superglue? :LOL

For some strange reason, having my belly button become an outie really freaked me out. I'm over it now, but it was a rough transition :LOL .

Ummmmm

Actually, I have a freakishly deep belly button. I can get my entire pinky finger inside it when I'm not pg.

Of course it's stretched to about 1" wide now. . .
