We're in week 42 now, and MW wants to try a chemical induction if nothing else works by this weekend (43 weeks) - since we'll be delivering at a hospital she thinks that that is our best bet to get as much of the natural birth as we wanted- e.g she could start pitocin to get me contracting, and then take me off of it so we can still do the birth our way..... 80 percent effaced and 2 cm right now, but everything was moving VERY slowly.
I'm not about to say it out loud but I'm really hoping that whatever woke me up is things staring this am! It's our first so I don't really know..... We did acupunture, followed by sex, and LOTS of walking last night..... Nothinn painful, just tight and low and enough to wake me up. I can't really see a rhythm to it though. Don' know! J the acupuncturist said to come in at ten this AM for a follow up if nothing's doing - if it won't hurt/slow things down, I think I'll try it again even though I think *something*may have started. C'mon baby - let's do this on our own!!!!
