Enough of this crying cr*p!

My mom and sis are so anti GD! My poor neice is at the butt of all of this
Tonight was classic, she is missing one of her beloved blankies adn she is very upset about it. Well, she is crying and my mom was in there while she was crying and tells her to stop crying, the she says "enough of this crying crap, you are starting to aggervate me!" This poor baby just needs her other blankie or maybe a HUG! So my sister tells her that she is sorry but its time for bed and to stop crying. She went in like 3 times and told her this.

I feel so bad for her sometimes. IF it were my dd, i would maybe he a bit aggervated b/c to us its dumb but to them its not, I probably wouldl have sat with her for a bit and gave her a cuddle.
She aggervates me a lot of the time, b/c she is in need of whatever attention you will give her, but i try to be patient.I just want to give her a big hug sometimes and make it all go away.

Anyway, sorry just needed to get it out.

Poor baby. I do understand how crying can get on your nerves, though...my dd's both shriek. One thing my mom did with me and I use is to instead of telling her to stop crying to hold them and say gently into her ear, "Cry softly, honey, cry softly," while rocking. It saves mama's ears but lets them get their frustrations out, too, kwim? Plus I feel proactive instead of feeling myself getting more angry. Maybe that would help to model that with your neice next time she's upset?
