I'd like some advice on gentle disciplining for my 3 yr old. She's a very spirited little girl. She's well-behaved, but, well, she's 3.
How do you all go about with gentle discipline while sick? This past week I've had an inner ear infection, a sinus infection, and a UTI, some days barely able to stand up. All of these infections have also caused my blood pressure (which is high on a normal day) to go WAY out of control (I've wound up in the ER once, and in my doctor's office twice).
My husband has been good about taking over when he's here, but when I'm the only adult around and I'm so sick I can barely stand up, I find I'm doing a lot of deep breathing (interesting with an inner ear infection, let me tell you!), counting, change of scenery, etc. But I'm running out of ideas, and some of my child's games and books are getting old and tired to her! I'm getting better, so it's probably under control now, but I need to add to my "gentle discipline arsenal" (how's that for an oxymoron) in case I have a setback or in case I get this sick again.
