Are you breastfeeding? If so, knock out sugar & artificial sweetners as much as possible from your diet at the very least a few days before the vaxes. Everything that goes into you, goes into your milk. Preservatives and all the multi-syllable-unprounceable junk added to most pre-packaged foods. It's harder for a little one's immune system to keep up when it's trying to deal with so many foreign substances at the same time.
If you're not breastfeeding, then I don't have much knowledge about what vitamins are good for babies. I do know this has been discussed before, so maybe search the threads? Don't forget some of the other forums on this board, there's great information but it sometimes gets scattered.
Either way, make sure your child isn't sick, even with the sniffles. Some peds say it's ok to vax during or right after an illness, some don't. Given that the infant immune system hasn't really been studied, it's probably a good idea to wait a week or so.
One last thing, ask for and read the package inserts. Read every bit of it.
Especially if there are any instances of allergies, reactions, or autoimmune diseases in either side of your child's family.
Everyone needs to do this (but sometimes even the docs themselves don't, so they won't think to offer it to you). My son was given 2 shots that contained ingrediants he had known and severe reactions to, all because I didn't even know there were package inserts available, and his doc obviously hadn't read them. Anaphylaxis is no fun.
and on THAT happy note, I hope you find the info you're looking for
