Product name: Storchenwiege Tragetuchen (carrying cloth)
Brief description of product: German-made cotton wrap sling
Store/Site of purchase: www.CottonCradles.com
Price: $106, I think
How long have you used this product? 1 month
Fit/Sizing: several overlapping, fits-many-people lengths
Performance: Phenomenal. I was skeptical that there would really be a big difference from the wrap slings I made myself out of cotton from the fabric store, but there's something about such sturdy supportive fabric that really makes it more comfortable to use. I was able to do my first rucksack carry using this sling, and it's becoming a regularly-used carry for me now. And my old standby strap carry is more comfy too. Being thicker than the fabrics I'd chosen, it was a tad trickier to manipulate at first -- more of a handful, you might say. But not too hard. And even in hot weather it's not "blankety" or too-thick feeling.
Workmomship: Great. Looks and feels like it could survive a bomb hit, but still confortable and soft. Impossible to snag even while passing through a garden full of prickly rosebushes and the odd blackberry bramble. Holds up to abuses like regular use as a towel, napkin and drool-wiper for Dd.
Customer Service/Communication: Lisa has fantastic customer service. She was prompt replying to my inquiry about exchanging the first sling I bought for a shorter one, and the new sling was on my doorstep in 2 days! Also, she includes free priority shipping, which makes her prices the best I could find.
Would you purchase this product again? In a heartbeat, which says a lot considering my trepidation at spending so much money on a sling.
Additional Comments: I have the Inka and it really is pretty.
I give it (How many thumbs up out of five?):
