Please chime in with your response to counteract the "private moment" and "breast goo" comments...

Some how I'm not surprised that Six Flags would do this, at least not since I heard claims that they've discriminated against some of their guests based on race. I don't really want to read the ignorant comment, but I suppose I should.

The woman in the article is my friend.

it always brings up questions from toddlers that may not be ready for the facts of life.
Sigh - comments like this make me so sad....that BFing is linked somehow to sex in so many minds. Also, that we've gotten so far from nursing being the norm that it is something to be "delicately handled" re children instead of it just being how mammals feed their young.

I was so angry when I read the opinions linked to this article! And they are WOMEN who have issues with NIP! Why are women so at odds with NIP?

Oh puhleeeeeze. I bet they aren't allowed to ask someone to coverup because their bikinis show too much. :

geeez

Questions from toddlers about sex? My DS, who's 8, will come up and give his sister a kiss while I'm nursing, boob hanging out all over. He doesn't think twice about it, and they're eight years apart, so it's not like he's used to someone's boob hanging out, lol.

Annette Marie, you did great there, even if you DID have to unsubscribe...

I am about the woman who would not take the goat's milk away from the baby goats to sell it, but DID take her own milk away from her own children!!! What an ijit!

AM, your post (to infopop) was quite eloquent also. Sometimes I wonder what planet those people are from -- they look human, they probly smell human, they probly sound human, but they don't speak the same language at all. *sigh*

You know, I always love how women who make the most rediculous statements about BFing (it should be done in private, go home to feed the baby, be discrete, etc) always preface their statement by saying "I breastfed my babies..."

It really makes you wonder if they are counting the 2 tries they did in the hospital as enough Bfing to be an expert on when, where and how women should feed their babies.

Grrr.

6 Flags has a history of this...Wyandot Lake, in Columbus Ohio, had an incident just like this, and WL is a 6 Flags park.

Fortunately, I believe 6 Flags is in a breastfeeding protected state... Either way, the park really needs to get on educating employees about this--2 major incidents within a 12 month period is 2 too many...

Maybe the mamas in Ohio need to have a "gathering" at 6 Flags...
