The Slingset

Brief description of product:
pouch with support sash

Store/Site of purchase:

theslingset.com

Price:
$56 for the pouch and sash together

How long have you used this product?
four months

Fit/Sizing:
I got size 1, which is small, but fits great, keeps baby close

Performance:
Outstanding. I love how sleek it is; no extra fabric or bulk. And yet it is soooo comfortable. The fabric breathes, so it's not hot. It's stretchy, so it's comfy--but it never loses it's shape. The color is gorgeous (I got poinsettia, a lovely red).
I particularly love how the support sash works; with the sash on my other shoulder, it distributes the weight of my baby so nicely (and he's a heavy one--26 pounds!). After a long nap, when I take him out of the pouch, I do not have that "crippled shoulder" feeling I have with one-sided slings, you know what I mean?
It's such a treat to use, that my other slings and my ergo are gathering dust.
Whenever I wear it out I get compliments. I wore it to a LLL conference in which I gave three presentations, all with my baby happily snugged into the sling! Everyone came up to me and wanted to know how to get one, even one mom who said she has seen all possible designs was completely impressed with the simple but ingenious design. It worked great as a professional-appearing sling, and I also use it around the house and parks.
And finally, my baby loves it!

Workmomship:
Excellent.

Customer Service/Communication:
Fabulous. I emailed about my initial confusion about size and got great feedback.

Would you purchase this product again?
Yes! I just bought a second one that will better fit my dh, because he wants to use it too!

Have you made a complaint to the WAHM about the product? If yes, please provide details of any resolution or lack thereof
no

Additional Comments:
Great gift for a mom who is having a second (or third or...) baby and who seems to have it all.

I give it (How many thumbs up out of five?):

Product name: The SlingSet

Brief description of product: stretchy pouch w/support sash

Store/Site of purchase: www.slingset.com

Price: $56 (? mine was a gift)

How long have you used this product? ~2 months

Fit/Sizing: I think these do run a little big, and/or are pretty stretchy. I sometimes wish mine were a little snugger, but I can usually readjust DD in it to make it feel more secure, and this way I can wear bulkier sweaters underneath.

Performance: Works great. I like the versatility of the sash and pouch together. When I get DD properly "installed" I can really do just about anything...laundry, cleaning, playing with my toddler, just generally moving about. And my daughter LOVES it. She either drops right off to sleep, or tips her head back and gazes up at me while she's in it.

Workmomship: Good. I did have a small problem with the touch-tape/velcro on the sash losing its "stickiness" and with the sash looking somewhat shabby after only a few weeks of wear, but Kristy is working with me to resolve it, and I do not think this problem is widespread or otherwise indicative of quality.

Customer Service/Communication: I contacted Kristy about the sash problem and she's replacing it and doing whatever she can to make me a happy, satisfied customer.

Would you purchase this product again? Yes, but I'd get a smaller size, and I might actually invest in the whole shebang if I had it to do again. I'd like to try using two pouches. I have already recommended it to others.

Have you made a complaint to the WAHM about the product? If yes, please provide details of any resolution or lack thereof

Yes, see above.

Additional Comments: I really like the color! (poinsettia)

Product name: The SlingSet Stretchy Pouch System

Brief description of product: Stretchy pouch with optional support sash system

Store/Site of purchase: www.theslingset.com

Price: $50 plus shipping (this is with the sash)

How long have you used this product? 2 months

Fit/Sizing: Sized perfectly (I bought a size 4 and am a short, plus-sized woman)

Performance: Excellent! I started using this when Elizabeth was one week old (I took her to the West Seattle Festival in it). Most of the time I don't use the sash (for the quick trips) as a matter of getting in and out quickly with a baby and toddler but for longer carry's I use the sash and find it really makes her feel lighter. It's easy to get Elizabeth comfortable in this thanks to the stretchy nature of the fabric and it wraps to support her head well when she dozes off.

Workmomship: Excellent, it's so easy to tell where to put her bum.

Customer Service/Communication: Perfect!

Would you purchase this product again? Absolutely! I wish I'd bought this with Nathan instead of the Baby Bjorn, Maya Wrap and Rebozo.

Have you made a complaint to the WAHM about the product? If yes, please provide details of any resolution or lack thereof. No

Additional Comments: I love this sling and I get comments on it all the time. I think many of the comments come from how comfortable Elizabeth looks, she can snuggle and rest on me in a way I would hold her instead of looking like a backpack worn on my chest. I'm really glad my mother bought this for me. Also, when this first came I thought it looked small so I put my 2.5 year old in it (I was 8 months pregnant), in the hip carry position, and it fit perfectly. I think this will suit us well all the way through babyhood and into toddlerhood.

I give it (How many thumbs up out of five?):
