Not quite a vent, not really a question, not even a brag

Nicholas is 21 and a half months old, night-weaned, and I still haven't gotten a period. This is the longest I have ever gone. I would eventually like to get pregnant again. :LOL

Is it possible that you already are?

I got my AF a day after ds' 2nd birthday - but, he was still nursing at night back then (as he is, now! :LOL)

does he nurse a lot during the day?

Well, I was 18 months with dd #2 - she was not night weaned though.

Ok, dd is 30 months and I don't have AF either. For me it is venting because I would like to get pg, but no sign of AF, not even with taking Vitex and gaining at least 12 lbs (I'm refusing to step on the scale to see how much weight I've actually gained I KWYM, I'll vent to someone, and EVERYONE always tells that that I'm lucky not to have AF and shouldn't be complaining. : next time I think I'm going to make a not too nice comment back. Can you tell I'm getting just a little irked about it? :LOL

HM. This is fascinating, as I was just wondering when I'd need to decide if i'm going to continue using tampons, or figure out one of those keeper thingies. Absolutely no signs of AF here, but DS is only 5 month old.

As someone who uses one of those "thingies" (a Diva Cup, actually) since getting her period back at 7 weeks, I would definitely recommend them! You even have time to research and order before you'd even need it (hopefully).

Good luck wooing AF, ladies. I'll see if I can convince her to visit your homes instead of mine next month!

He nurses about an hour when he first wakes up and maybe once in the morning, before and after nap, maybe once in the afternoon, and before bed. I was pregnant again by now that last two times! :LOL I'm only 32, so I don't think it's anything permanant.

If I could send her someone's way, I would be more than happy too! 5 months pp was way too early for me. I was clingint to the hope that maybe at least it would be spaced out and irregular, but no such luck.

annettemarie, i didn't get mine back until dd was 18 mo AND spaced out her day nursings so that they were 5 hrs apart. when the mid am and mid pm ones were refused, af returned - for one month before #2 was conceived :LOL

she was pretty night weaned at that point too, she would nurse once during the night perhaps, but not all the time.

maybe he has a stronger suck?
I dunno.
I wouldn't worry too much - you will get AF in due time.

Thanks, all! It's not that I have a special affinity for my dear Aunt Flo, but I would like the stork to visit again eventually!
