We're starting Singapore Math this week. My DS is 6 and finished part time K last year at school. He did well with basic addition and subtraction but struggled with identifying numbers past 12 and counting by 5s or 10s which I thought was a bit much for that age anyway. (we've been working on identifying numbers past 12 with card games)
As I look thru the 1A workbook I think most of it will be review for him. It's very basic and even talks about basic shapes and biggger/smaller, etc. Do I go thru it anyway to boost his confidence and for basic review (as long as he doesn't get bored with it) or just skip to the next one?
He responds well to pictures and word problems so I don't think he'll get bored with just 15 min a day.
Thoughts?
Thanks
