I'll be in the Albany area for several days before Christmas. Just wondered if any of you know of any fun, family-oriented things that are going on in the area at that time?

Empire State Museum

This museum usually has a good assortment of displays for different age levels. I think admission is still free. There's a large underground
plaza that will likely have holiday events.

the NY State Museum gets my vote too!
especially popular is the free carousel on the second floor, and there is a fee skating rink on the plaza.

also albany times union is the newspaper, and there can be some good links there closer to the date you'll be in the city.

hope that helps!

I would also check out Metroland (local paper in the area) They often have listings for neat events. Good luck!

Hi guys! I started this thread in 2002.

Now my husband's family lives in the Watervliet/Latham area. I'm gonna start a new thread.

Thank you for your advice!

Luv,
Autumn Wind
