I just wanted to give everyone a big "Thank You" for making this board so interesting and educational (no pun intended)! Your thread "Is socialization Really important?" really helped my husband to consider homeschooling our children. I am so excited! He is of the mindset that children need to be bullied and pushed around some by "bad/negative" kids so that they learn how to deal with them properly. That and being afraid that our kids will be labeled weird are his two biggest worries about homeschooling. Both of these worries make me cringe. They aren't at all what my worries are. We think so very differently about these kinds of things. After the thread I was able to point out that we can homeschool however we want and that you don't have to be in a school setting to come across rude people and learn how to deal with them properly. Plus I can help our kids deal some of these negative interactions better than what would go on in school. Anyways we talked for a long time and so far he is considering homeschooling until middle school age. That is a huge step for us! Thank you again! Now I need to get his engineering brain to read some books that convince him further. I am so excited!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.
