Karen - that sounds like excema, if its in the crooks of your knees and stuff. Are you sure its from the plant? Is there a naturopath who can check you out, or an herbalist? Maybe they can make you a nice poultice or something.
Aviva Romm says you can take
Rhus tox. 30x for the rash.
Lisa, ooh you should definitely come to Hawaii!!! Sounds like you'd be here around Violet's birthday? If your dh got a job with the dreaded military, he might make quite a bit of money. I'm not sure what he does though.
Jessi, I think the dumpy house is more expensive because of the land its on.
Allright, Ori!! Way to let your mama get some sleep!!!

| We are *so* going to have our hands full once B gets moving, though. She is an entirely different creature than her big sis ~ EVERYTHING goes in the mouth. Any tips from seasoned Mamas about what to do about older siblings "too small for baby" toys being in the home? DH wants to put everything away that isn't safe, but I feel like this is both unrealistic and unfair to T. We don't have a playroom, so we can't easily separate the play areas. Our living area is our play area! I just don't want to become the Mama that says "No!" all the time ~ to the older or to the younger. This is going to be a challenge. |
We built a fairly large table with a wooden rim around it (so stuff can't roll off) Little things, like legos have to stay on the table. We also have a big tub of all the little chokable things, that only comes out every once and again. The kids are awed by it, and love looking through it. Now that they are a bit more independent, we just try to make them keep everything in their room. But the table thing works well for younger children. Constant battle though. I found marbles all over the living room floor yesterday - and Violet is mobile enough to scooch to one, and eat it! YIkes!!
Pixie mama - I'm glad you seem to got everything worked out. Take time to process everything, and talk about it lots. You seem to be handling it fairly well - it IS a violation, and traumatic in its own right.
Michelle - 8 diapers sounds fine to me. She'll probably have less, cause you are feeding her less, but still enough, yk? As you nurse more, your milk supply will go up, and she'll start peeing more.
Ok, best go start taking care of me wee ones. Aloha all! Sorry if I missed anyone.
