Andy, I don't clean my house.
Actually, laundry I run downstairs and pop in and out while she's on the floor or napping, dh does the dishes, I cook when he's holding her, the bathroom is scummy, I'll run the sweeper when she's sleeping, etc.
We have met our first big POTTY PAUSE. I don't know if it is because we're not home so much or if it's developmental - she's trying so hard to crawl now. Either way, we're going through tons of dipes, she refuses to be wet for even a few minutes, and she doesn't signal much at all and so she's always wet!
Annie, any pesticies?
Jeni, let her lay down an relax, then try to potty, Lauren sometimes needs a break to get those muscles ready before she'll go. It's worth waiting. Sometimes I let her sit on the potty for a bit too, as long as she's not fussing.
Hey Michelle, don't worry about color. Babies poo in the rainbow. It's part of their beauty
UGH HOT HERE! IT was 101 yesterday and 96 today. BUT there is a front coming tonight and it's supposed to be 76 tomorrow. Whee! We're going to a homebirth meeting, the zoo, and tie dying.
Jeni/Heidi, Lauren totally digs laying on her belly with her head on my chest and her belly on the bed and nursing. Not all that comfy and it's hard for her to do because she's not quite big enough
Karen, I hope your dad is on the quick mend.
Pam, hugs to you too, dealing with 3yr old potty struggles.
Ok, I read everything, but I just can't reply.
Lauren is sleeping SO much better since we're not home. She did awful over the weekend at home, it's so odd. Gotta figure that one out! Tonight we went on a driving tour of my college to check out the new buildings, and she fell asleep in the car (we have a van here w/4 car seats!) and when I brought her inside I put her down on our sleeping mat and she went back to sleep. SO unlike her. She's still sleeping, so amazing.
Other then killer hot and humid here, I got to go to Wild Oats today (the closest one at home is 45 min away
and on the wrong side of town) and so I found some Borion (they don't carry it in Cleve-land) and a few other fun things.
My host is teaching me to knit. I'm not very good. I'll probably forget by tomorrow. The family I'm staying with this week has a 2 yr old ds and 4 yr old dd and the mom does childcare for a few kids. Today we had 3 moms and 7 kids running around. Lauren really dug the social time, and seeing lots of people in a place that she was familiar with (it was totally calm and quiet here yesteray while she explored) and so I actually got a few minutes where she was occupied
My heart is still wonky, but less wonky than last week and the week before. It's not driving me nuts this week. Haven't heard from my doc either, so I'm guessing that's a good thing.
It's after 10, and I'm usually in bed at 9, so I'm going to call it a night. I probably won't get online tomorrow at all, and Thurs. I'm getting up super early to drive home, I have to report to "work" at 10 for a meeting. Stupid school system didn't process my paperwork or something and they think I need to pick a new job for Aug. back to school. I don't understand it at all.
