I think this is it!!

I think.

The contractions started at about 1:30 - about 20 minutes apart then went to 15 then to 10 and then inbetween 5-10 and now are about 5 minutes apart. It has to be labor, right? I mean having contractions 5 minutes apart for over an hour is labor, no? I am just in denial I think.

Oh god. I have to push this out of my, well..... Oh dear lord.

But frig the contractions hurt.

...ouch just had one...

I have to concentrate during them. This is labor right?

I'm such a loser.

BREATHE!!!

keep your body loose and remember: once you get through a contraction, you NEVER have to deal with that one again

Nothing yet! Love laboring at home though!

Contractions are remaining 5-10 minutes apart. This baby sure wants to take his/her time. I just wish I knew if I was progressing at all or if I should be doing something to help it along (besides castor oil, blech).

I wish things would pick up. Walking makes everything stop (or I just can't feel the contractions). Meh. I don't know. I need a sign!! LOL

Dang! I hope things pick up again soon. I got stuck on painful contractions that were 8-9 min apart for 10 HOURS last time, and it was sooooo not fun!

Go Erika!

Erika,
There is an accupressure point between your thumb and first finger- that thin sort of web skin. If you squeeze there with your other hand it it supposed to make contractions work faster without making them more painful.. I used that point in my labor 6 months ago for EVERY contraction and had a 4 hour, very tolerable home water birth. Might be worth a try. It can't hurt! My Mom and partner helped squeeze that point too, when I was worn out and in transition. Keep it up. Won't be long now!!!

Along the same lines, my yoga teacher recently mentioned an acupressure point just above each ankle that is supposed to bring on contractions (can't comment on its effectiveness, or if it makes them more painful, etc.).

To find it, take your right pinky finger and lay it in the middle of your left ankle-bone (on the inside of your leg). Let all 4 fingers rest on your leg, and where your index finger falls should be at or near the point. It should be that height above your ankle-bone, but you may need to move around your leg a little to find it. It's very sensitive -- you'll know when you're there! I've found the point, but haven't "worked it" to see if it will bring on contractions. I'm not quite 39 weeks yet, so don't want to rush anything.

And obviously, you can repeat on the other leg.

Erika, hoping things picked up, and you've got your babe in hand!!

NO baby. I had contractions throughout the night however I slept through and/or fell right back to sleep after them.

I lost a humongous amount of mucus this morning though... like a nasty disgusting amount.

And I got up about 30 minutes ago and have had 4 contractions already so things may be picking up. I am going to my see my midwife in an hour for yet another sweep. Yay.

Maybe she'll say "Just go home and start pushing" because I'll be 10 cm. :LOL

Oh darn!! Here's hoping your MW says you're complete and ready to push :LOL !!
