hi all, i have a few questions for mamas that use cloth pads. i have a slight bladder problem since having my duaghter and reg store pads are so irratating. so my questions are. what material do u like it to be topped with Fleece or Velour? and then for backing what do u like fleece or pul? these i know will have a snap on the wings. just wondering. and they they will be hemp inner. Does the Velour keep u dry? and waht size do u like 9" or 7"? and they stay in place well? i tried some in past and they just felt really bulky but i dont remmeber size or anything
Thanks girls

i find that no backing works fine

Mine are the pattern from www.diapersewing.com. I bought cheap flannel at Wal-Mart and it was fine. Nothing fancy, nothing pretty. Just plain cheap stuff that doesn't irritate my skin. Most of the time I use my diva cup anyway but pads are nice for nighttime.

Any kind of cotton is great. I have a prolapsed urethra and uterus since having my last baby, if you'd like to PM me, I can let you know of ways to help reduce the leakage.

I used the Mother of Eden pads post-partum and found them quite comfy. They're fleece on top, microterry for absorbancy, and PUL for the backing. I find the 7" size to be a bit more comfortable, but the longer size were okay, too, and good to have early on when the flow was heavy.

I've not tried other types, so I can't give you a comparison, but I've been happy with these. Hope this helps!

I use the New Moon pads. They are flannel and have a fleece backing. I LOVE them!!
