I was curious to see others opinions on this.
I've tried two ways of sewing the Aplix on PUL, both using a wide zigzag stitch. I've either sewn both points of the zigzag on the Aplix, or sewn one side on, one side just barely off the Aplix. After using the covers for a while, I noticed that the ones with the zag off the Aplix seem to have bigger holes in the PUL, though I haven't noticed any wicking. I was thinking that from now on, I'll do both points on the Aplix.
Have you ever had any problems with either way? Are there any advantages with either method that you know of?

Every time I think I've found a good tension setting it breaks on me. I generally stay in the 0-2 tension and sew relatively slow. It also depends on what thickness of nylon thread you get. The first spool I got was thicker and never broke and never skipped stitches, it felt like thin fishing line. It was more visable on the finished project but easier to work with. This spool I have now is ultra thin and breaks a little more easily but is practically invisable on the dipe. Even with the nylon thread breaking I feel like it works better for sewing on Aplix than regular poly thread. I've found it also has held up better on my diapers than the poly thread.
