And suprised we had a girl!

We're home, we're healthy.

Georgia Lousia was born, all 8 lbs 12 oz of her post date, hard headed, wrinkly self Tuesday at noon. She has a ton of black hair and her dad is hoping those cloudy eyes ARE blue. We went in for an induction, but then went into labor naturally 2 minute after the cervadil was placed so they took it out and we got our natural birth (to a point . Fast and furious- but really good!...guess I have fast labors. Thank god for our doula - she was amazing. Fast natural labor but then four plus hours of pushing in positions I didn't even know existed! wouldn't move her down one iotia. (She got to to =1 during transition and there she stopped) Turns out her head wouldn't mold at all since she was older (all that pushing and she's still a perfect spehere LOL) , and unfortunately she was just too high to use forceps, etc. and be safe. I got to see her hair though - many times - up and down and up and down and up and down - argh! We had a emergency C section, which was actually much more positive then I had thought it could, especially since our midwives and doula were with me the WHOLE time - so gald to have had my baby! Recovery is interesting but I'll post her full birth story later - I wrote it when I woke up from the C section and it's been sitting on E's hard drive since. Love! - Shannon

ps we're nursing wonderfully - our doula made sure me and G got together before either of us fell asleep from the section and those 15 minutes made all the difference in the world. We're not pros yet, but she gained 3 ounces yesterday!

Congrats! Sorry to hear it turned into a c-section, but glad that it was

Congrats and Welcome, Georgia! I, too, am sorry that you ended up with a c-section, but thrilled it wasn't tramatic and that you were able to have your support people about you. Enjoy your new baby and continued sucess with bfing and bonding.
