New to Sewing, Making Diapers?

Ok, So I confess that up to this point, the most I've sewed is a hem and more than a few buttons. But, I'm interested in getting a sewing machine, and I'm also interested in making diapers when I do. Are there easy patterns to start with? Anyone have any suggestions to make diaper making easy?

Thanks!

Id start by looking at the stickies for links to free patterns and go from there.

When I started I could barely sew and now I've gone past doing diapers and into making clothes and hair accessories. If I can do it so can you.

Good luck.

I do know that you should NOT but a cheapie at say Costco, Walmart. The White and Brother brands are'nt the kind of machine to withstand years of use, or so I have been told by several different sewers. Keep your eye on the paper for a used machine if you cant afford the cost of a new one. There may even be a sewing machine shop in your area that sells new and used, thats how I got my serger. Good luck!

Ok I'm gonna disagree slightly. I had an older singer and I hated it had nothing but problems. I bought a Brother at walmart and I love it. I didn't get the cheapest model of course but it only cost us a little over a hundred and it has worked just great for everything I have tried to do. It's not a surger but I can live without a surger.
