please help--what is this???

ok, my right side of my mouth has been hurting me since friday. today is sunday and i am calling my dentist first thing in the morning. i had been taking 2 advil every 6 hours or so but now it's not helping anymore.

it is soooo uncomfortable. it's only on the right side, radiating all over the right side of my mouth. my wisdom teeth have never come in, does this sound like it could be that? or could i have suddenly got a bunch of cavities back there? i've never had a cavity so i don't know what they feel like.

sorry for whining--anyone know what this sounds like?

Well it could be anything,
But honestly having been through this and my dh too, you could have really injured/sensitized.pushed up your gums. I kept begging my dentist to root canal me, he x-rayed me - no caveties, no abcesses (any foul mouth taste?)

---turned out I had just been having some gum issues...(pulling away from the tooth).

My dh went in (and he's dental phobic so it takes him a lot to walk in and they found out he'd injured his gums while flossing or with a sharp food like chips ..... lol must have been the chips he doesn't floss

Do go in.

You really only have one major nerve in your jaw one upper one lower, so any irritation to one of those major nerves could really mess you up.

Take an anti-inflamitory and get some liquid ambesol, always great to have on hand (works to numb mosquito bites here too

Mouth pain is really a knock down, it affects your entire mood.
There are many things they can do if its just an oversensitive tooth, etc.

i was told i had the beginning stages of periodontal disease in early june, and i had a scaling and (what's it called) cleaning done. my gums stopped bleeding, and i've been brushing at night with something that decreases plaque. but i haven't been flossing like i should. i hope it's not getting worse?! my gums don't bleed at all anymore, i had assumed it was much better....

as for sinuses, i do have a stuffy nose right now, but i've had sinus infections and have never felt this.
