Ironing PUL and suedecloth

Thread Starter
Hello everyone,

I've been so happy to find this group -- hugely helpful.

I started making my first pocket diaper last night - out of PUL and suedecloth. I plan on serging the layers together today, then turning right side out and topstitching. Normally, I would iron at that step, but I'm not sure if I can iron PUL or suedecloth. Can I? At what heat setting?

Thanks so much!!

I would not Iron PUL, it will stick to the fabric or iron, whichever the shiny side is facing. Use a tool to stick the corners out and it will be just fine...I don't iron any of mine.

I iron PUL (I'm a little obsessive lol). I set the iron as low as it will go and move it quickly on the non-shiny side. Never ironed suedecloth so I can't help there.
