Hi,

I wanted to find out what is the diff between 'Hemp FRENCH terry' and 'hemp STRETCH terry'? and which one is better to make soaker/doublers ? TIA

Hemp french terry is thicker with low, flat, thin loops on one side. The other side is smooth. 3 - 4 layers works well in a soaker pad, 2 - 3 in a doubler. It stretches but less than the stretch terry.

Hemp stretch terry is thinner with thin baby loops on one side, it feels plusher on the loop side and is a lot like the hooded baby towels you might find in super stores. It's more stretchy and less thick, so 5 - 6 layers works well in a soaker pad and about 4 in a doubler.

HTH.

I personally love the stretch terry for the body of dipes (makes 'em stretchy like underpants should be ) and french terry for the soaker parts.
