I dont' like to make fitteds with pretty flannels that are just going to get covered and then you cannot see them.....SO I heard someone once say if you are making an AIO you can insert a layer of shower curtain for the waterproof part instead of buying PUL.

Why can't you just make covers out of clear shower curtain? Bind it and then you can see the fitted AND you can have a waterproof cover!

Tell me what is wrong with this idea.

I would worry about the smell of the plasticy emitting bad vapors. Also, what about washing and drying?

Other than that, I think it's a terrific idea. That way you wouldn't have to cover up your cute dipe or have a cute cover!

I figured I would wash it before cutting, that might be what I have to do...then I will see if the smell goes away and stays away or if it shreds in the washer. I might just have to try it.

It would be a fairly cheap project...we'll see.

If it would work I'd try it just for the cost factor. You can buy a cheap clear shower curtain for $2 heck of alot cheaper than pul but I just don't know if it would work. Also there's the issue of breathability. And what about resealing the holes caused by sewing?

I've washed shower curtains on gentle and they haven't shredded, but mine are heavy weight. I don't know if you'd even have to wash it in the washer except for poopy messes. Wouldn't pee just wash out by hand?

My concern would be breathability - PUL isn't terribly breathable, but a shower curtain seems like it wouldn't breathe at all!
