I just put some lesbian TTC and pregnancy guides on the Trading Area.
I know they'll get buried pretty quick by all the baby clothes and mommy gear

Click on the main forums button, the one that lets you see all the various threads. Scroll down to the bottom. Do you know where Talk Amongst Ourselves is? It's beside that, it's called Trading Post (I think).

Oh, well. Just wondering if you had any I don't already own - for pre-conception i've got Brill & Toevs, plus Rachel Pepper. Hoping this cycle (1st iui) is the winner so I may be buying more preg & birth type books soon ...

Those are what I had listed (those and the booy "Buying Daddy"). If you have the Toevs book there's nothing better. For more info than that, try to website www.inciid.org - it is an infertility support site (nonprofit). They have info sheets, FAQ's, and even message boards that are staffed by RE's who answer questions. Great place to read up if you are obsessed with the science of it all.

Hey - maybe a new thread would be good - I tried to start a "queer and/or single and ttc with frozen donor sperm" on the MDC ttc board, but hardly anybody bit (about 4 of us I think).

I am ttc and have been thoroughly welcomed by the MDC "one thread" even though there are few queer mamas-to-be posting there.

If you don't start a new thread here, you should try getting advice on the fertility friend.com circle board - there is one for ttc with frozen that has LOTS of info and high-traffic postings, but it is harder to get to know people on the thread, because it gets closed out after a certain number of postings.

I'll keep an eye out if you start a thread.

I rarely even go to the TTC forum even though i'm TTC via AI, I just don't feel comfy there So I take all my TTC stuff over to FF

I'm on FF, too (same screen name) - but I actually like the format of the mdc "one thread" idea better than the all -different threads all the time on FF. FF frozen definitely has more queer women, though! It sucks that you don't feel comfy on the ttc MDC. I think there are 3 of us using frozen on the MDC one thread right now. I was very warmly welcomed there - the only thing that gets me down is when I see so much talk of bd-ing and i get jealous. But the frequency of posts and emotional support is still worth it for me I think.
Guess I'll see you on FF?

i'd love to be posting on the One thread, but I am so seriously confused as to how it works, I asked someone but continued clueless. When we were TTC#1 (my partner carried) I hung out on a great Lesbian TTC board on Yahoo for awhile, but since we got lucky quickly (3 tries AI/IUI w Donor Sperm), and I had been lurking & learning for YEARS, I switched out pretty quick when we got Pg. Now for #2 I am feeling very sad & discouraged at the moment since I have some medical issues , that weren't DX when they should of been, even though I suspected them I was told everything was ok ...... Now three cycles & 6 insems later, i found out that my suspicions were correct, and I DO have the medical issues I thought I did (Uterine Polyps), which leads me to very quitely believe that we did concieve in cycle #2, but there was no implantation because of them. Oh well, I have one more test next week, and then we decide where to go next.
