Hello All!
I'm brand new to this but need to know if anyone's been through our situation. My 21 month old son needs 6 cavities filled under general anasthesia. His tonsils are "generous" and too large for the treatment to be done safely in a dentist's office, because they could obstruct his breathing while he's under and / or during the recovery period while the anasthesia is still in his system. Due to insurance and cost issues, I'm having a hard time finding the right dentist and hospital and getting him scheduled any earlier than December. If I could figure out whether his tonsils are naturally large or if there's something causing long-term inflamation, maybe I could find a way to get them to shrink down so that the work could safely be done in the dentist's office? I don't know a thing about tonsils, but I wonder if maybe he has some allergy or sensitivity that I haven't identified that has caused them to enlarge? Can that happen? I don't even know.
We used to be sensitive to dairy, so I know that's not the problem 'cause he's only started eating it regularly and the tonsils have been huge for a really long time, if not since birth. He's still sensitive to eggs and doesn't get anything with even trace amounts of egg in it.
I know we need to do the dental work, but insurance issues are a nightmare, so I'm looking for anything to make this all easier.
Any homeopathic treatments I could use on tonsils?
