Has anyone ever accidentally, or had someone else accidentally, flush a piece of cloth tp?
This is my fear. I have, on two occasions, accidentally tossed a piece of cloth tp into the toilet. Both times I realized it immediately and took care of it, but I'm afraid that some day I'm going to absentmindedly flush it and cause, what, hundreds of dollars worth of damage?
My girls have also tossed the cloth into the toilet two or three times, and they have come to get me right away and not flushed. But is it only a matter of time? Is flushing a square of cloth as dangerous to the plumbing as I imagine it is? Has anyone found their savings in not buying tp have been eaten up by plumbers' bills?
I sold this idea to dh by demonstrating how much we'll save on buying tp over the course of a year. That argument will be "flushed" very quickly if we ruin the plumbing. What do you think?
