My little lesbian family is headed up to Vermont for a wedding on August 13. We'll be based around Brattleboro. We have a 4 year old and a 1 year old....any can't miss places or activities to recommend?

TIA

not sure if your trip falls on a sat-but the farmer's market is lots of fun-and there is a great brewery in town if you want a pint.

We go to Brattleboro pretty often, though not since our ds was born. It's a great little town - I would love to live there someday. The shops downtown are great - the Vermont Country Store in Weston is nice too. We are planning to go soon also, and I found on the Brattleboro Chanber of Commerce webpage, there is a downloadable list of family activities in that part of VT. You might try that...

That's funny - our friends from Brattleboro were just visiting us last week! It's a really nice town - it's really easy to cross the river into NH and do some nice hiking.

The co-op is really nice, too.

Can I say nice any more?

Not knowing where you are coming from there is the Yankee Candle Factory in Mass on the way up there. My mom used to go to Brattleboro all the time. Also up north a bit is the Vermont Teddy Bear Company and Ben and Jerrys?
