Hoping to become Preg. after a Tubal Ligation

Thread Starter
Does anyone have any experience and/or information on becoming pregnant after a tubal ligation.

I had one done five years ago, after the birth of my third child. I am recently just regreting such surgery, and would like to have my tubes reversed. I cannot have IVF, and I was wondering if anyone had any helpful info on this.

I don't need sympathy. My husband and I made this choice five years ago. I never realized how I would feel five years later.

I don't have any info on this.

Your best bet would be to go to a Fertility Clinic and dicuss options with a doc.

Is there a reason you cannot have IVF? That would be the simpler route, and more effective, as reversals don't always work so well.

Good luck!

Hope after tubal ligation

I am having the same issue but the answer that you are looking for is called tubal reanastomosis is in a major microsurgical procedure. It is not major surgery as it is microsurgical. With a 2-3 day post-op stay and about a 6wk recovery period before TTC should begin. It is affordable as far as most infertility treatments go, between 5 and 7 thousand. In Austin we have a couple of Dr.s that specialize in the procedure with very high conception and birth rates post procedure. Best of luck to you and Happy Holidays

Tubal Reversal Surgery

Tubal reversal surgery is easy and affordable at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. I am planning my procedure with Dr. Berger and the cost is $5900. This is the only surgery Dr. Berger performs and he operates five days a week, so he has a great deal of experience.

The procedure takes about an hour to perform. His patients stay at a hotel by his office and you are back home the day following surgery. A lot of his patients travel to Chapel Hill, NC from other countries to have surgery with him. The day my online friend had her surgery, there were couples there from Italy and Nairobi!

I have included a link to his website. They also offer a free DVD of the procedure, which was shown on the Learning Channel program The Operation.
