anyone else have heartburn?

I have the absolute worst heartburn today and I am not even five weeks yet. With my daughter I didn't get it this early, but I know it was really bad at times.

Does anyone know of something natural I can do to relieve it?

Yes I do. I just pulled out my morning wellness tea and I am about to buy the Earth Mama Angel Baby Heartburn Relief Tea.

kyle98sean02- Let us know how the Earth mama Angel baby tea works.

Last pregnancy I ate tums lall day every day. If I forgot to bring them with me somewhere I would make DH stop & buy more. And god forbid if he bought the wrong ones. I think I actually remember yelling something like "Didn't I tell you smooth disolve fruit." He had bought the mint ones and thought it would be OK.

This time around I'm at 4wks & I already have a little creeping in.

Hey there. I've started getting heartburn (nasty!) with my morning sickness symptoms and it blows. : I can't see eating tums all the time since there are all those nasty color dyes. Maybe I shouldn't worry about it too much though.

Still is anyone else having morning sickness with the dreaded acid reflux/heartburn? I hate it!

Oh my goodness yes. Still have it - seems like it has gotten worse in the last couple weeks.

Tums help - only the smooth dissolve fruit here too!

Only at night though, during the day it seems okay. Hoping it passes a bit.

Wow that is horrible. I didn't realize you had it that bad. My heart goes out to you.

Hope things get better!

I have a midwife appointment today, so I'm going to ask her about it. She'll probably say, TRY MYLANTA too.

I have had it once. But I never ever have it happen pre pregnancy. For me, if I drink a glass of water that really helps. I read that online, and it seemed so simple, but it worked! Sounds like for a more severe case though, it may not, but worth a try.

I've been taking Zantac. Mine is terrible. I feel like my tummy is on fire all the time. Ginger seems to help some, but I can't take Tums or calcium remedies due to my kidney problems.

Knock on wood... I had it earlier, but it has gone away. I'm hoping it stays away!

another mama with TERRIBLE heartburn/indiestion. i swear it is unbearable. ill try papaya enzymes next trip to the coop. and looking up Earth Mama Angel Baby Heartburn Relief Tea now...thanks!

2nd tri starts this week - i am praying it goes away.

I have found that taking a papaya enzyme tablet (chewable), followed by half a tsp. of creamed honey (liquid may work, I just prefer the creamed) seems to quell the fire. Sometimes a mug of Rosehip and Hibiscus tea helps a little. Also, I have noticed lying on my right side gets it going , so I am already a left-side sleeper. I avoid Tums because I am prone to mineral deposits and I have read that Tums can lead to deposits on the umbilical cord and/or placenta. In my case it is better safe than sorry, but my heartburn is fairly manageable. Good luck mamas!
