Hi everyone! I havent been on in forever! We are home - came home on July 30th so ended up having to stay for 4 days which was about 3 days longer than I planned. But Graciela is doing wonderfully - she is just the best baby. Eats and sleeps a ton and hardly cries unless she is hungry or needs to burp. She is such a princess already - definitely lets you know when something isnt how she wants it :LOL
After they weaned her off the oxygen they let me start nursing and she picked it up like nothing ever happened. She is a pro at it! She was 8 lbs. 6 oz at birth and got down to 7 lbs. 15 oz after a couple of days on only IV fluid. By the time we left the hospital (and she had been nursing for a couple of days) she was back up to 8 lbs. 2 oz. And at one week was 9 lbs. 3 oz!!! So she is eating well!
I got mastitis - I guess I am just making way too much milk and she cant empty either side at a feeding so I got clogged up. But my LC, who was my doula, got me through it without antibiotics so that is awsome.
We are doing well - now I need to find the time to get online and catch up with everyone!
