"A Danish study found no increased risk for other infectious diseases among more than 800,000 children who received the standard set of vaccinations," according to an article in the Washington Post today.

Well sheesh, one would HOPE not, I think! I'm glad they at least included a quote from Barbara Loe Fisher of NVIC saying that most non-vaxing parents are actually concerned about chronic, auto-immune disorders, and not about infectious diseases.

"It's not infectious diseases that parents are concerned about," said Barbara Loe Fisher of the National Vaccine Information Center, a nonprofit advocacy group based in Vienna. "They are concerned about learning disabilities and autism and asthma and diabetes."

They don't say in the article whether vaccinated children were compared to non-vaccinated children, which of course is pretty key. Where's the control group?

Well golly-gee-whilikers.... I thought everybody knew that the vaccines were safe. The DOCTORS give them don't they? And don't you know that drs. are gods? We should bow down....

See this is the kind of thing that drives me CRAZY. The headline in our local paper says "VACCINE STUDY FINDS NO IMMUNE RISK TO KIDS".

When in fact what it found (assuming their results were not skewed or manipulated) was that in the first five years of life vaxed kids are not more susceptible to other infectious diseases.

IMO that's worse than worthless. As the OP noted, at least they included Barbara Loe Fisher's comment. But that doesn't change the fact that they didn't address ANYTHING about actual immune function. They noticed that kids didn't get other diseases more frequently. YIPPEE. Did they measure immune function at all? Then they publish it under the blanket statement NO IMMUNE RISK. Hogwash. How many 5 year olds have autoimmune diseases? (OK I know some do but many of these diseases show up later in life.)

Well that is part of my rant. This kind of thing makes me so mad I can't be very eloquent.

Vaccines have never been safe and they never will be by virtue of the fact that they invade your immune system and make you sick!!
