Starting to get the seed catalogues for Spring. Great late night reading. Has anyone made a composter from a drum?

Are you talking the kind on its side or the kind you just throw stuff in and let rot?
A drum type that you turn with a crank. We live in a rural area and already have enough wildlife close to the house (deer, wolverines, fishers, coyotes...) I like the enclosed type.

I have never used one but know someone who has. He claims it is great but you cant put a TON of stuff in it. My compost pile has so much yard debris in it I would have to use two piles. One for bulk and one for household stuff.
maybe someone else has first hand experience with them.

My grandmother uses one and she swears by it. She also lives where coyotes and racoons are a problem. She likes that it is tidy, too, and doesn't make her yard look or smell gross. She's a very neat kind of person.
