My Fourth Ultrasound was Today...

We went in to the doc office, and I was basically NOT worried. Yet there's a flicker or two of "what ifs" that floated around.

It turns out all is okay. The technician said the fluid levels are wonderful and she wouldn't be surprised if the baby stayed in a good deal longer! Also, the tech said that the placenta looked great when normally it's looking a little worn by now. Odd that I felt a small sense of pride at that.

I'm a tad nervous that I might go over 42 wks and they'll want to induce me. I will think positive thoughts and do some hypnosis fear release to make sure I'm not holding her in.

I DO feel rather content, and I have a feeling she does, too. So maybe it's time to stir things up with acupuncture or something. Sex and walking and EPO haven't done anything yet...

Yay! Glad everything is looking good!!! I have my appt today....and I'll probably have an internal just to 'see' where we are. Will probably also go for an induction next week (40.5 weeks) if babe isn't here yet. I had one w/ my last and for me it honestly wasn't any worse than the 'regular' labor of my first. Did both without any pain meds/epidural. Baby I's mommy and daddy will be here this afternoon...and we are all just soooo excited to meet him/her!

My chiro was telling me about accupressure points that can help stimulate labor. If you get some accupuncture, ask them about what you can do at home to help too! There are some easy ones on your hand that you can 'get at' yourself....the knee and ankle ones....you'll probably need hubby's help! And maybe can get a nice foot massage in the bargain

Glad all is well. I know those "I firmly believe everything is alright (except a teeny tiny part of me somewhere under my left rib)..." feelings.

Thanks everyone!

The mw told me a story today. This one client of theirs always measured small (like me) and they sent her in for sonos all the time and just drove the poor client nuts. The baby was fine and the birth was fine.

When the client got preg a second time, she refused all the sonos. She said I always measure small and there's nothing wrong, so I'm not having all those sonos like last time. Since she she measured perfect for dates, everyone (inclu m/ws) was happy.

Well, her birthing day arrived. She got to the birth center and everyone was shocked to pieces that she was carrying twins!! Each one was 4 lbs so that's why she'd measured perfectly the whole time. :LOL Man.
