Positive NIP at the park and funny lady

Last night DH and I took DD and DS to the wading pool at a local park for a picnic dinner and to get away from the freaking heat! :LOL

Well we are dealing with a slight case of thrush so I just did the gentian violet route to nip it in the bud quickly...of course this leaves DS with a very purple face and myself with purple breasts.

So I was pretty much nursing DS the whole time. I wasn't worried about being too discrete as not too many people were around and I didn't want to get my shirt too purple.

Well a woman with a few smaller children (her grandkids) was walking our way and looking at us and I thought oh no! She is going to say something mean....but I was wrong!

She started gushing over the redheads and then we just started talking to her and of course she wondered what the purple was and when I told her she knew right away. Then she said.

"Oh and I think it is cool how your titty is all purple" :LOL No one has ever said that to me before

I also saw another nursing mother and had a nice conversation with another mom who had two children spaced about how ours are.

I saw a nursing mom in public and her baby had a purple mouth and I thought eek, thrush!

But I was happy she was NIP.

DH was pretty embarrassed when I first started using it and didn't really want to take him out but I don't care....I figure if someone asks then I get to talk about breastfeeding in some way right?
