LOL!

He does disappear for a while, and then reappears, to whine.

LOL! We were there (at the concert) and after he sang our whole group just looked at eachother and then someone said WHY?????
other than that we really enjoyed the concert! Especially my DD who was dancing to the mariachi music :-) and the gospel choir at the end was awesome (and that's not really my kind of music).
I'm glad it wasn't just me! :

We were on the lake front for the airshow and thought about staying for the concert, but the kids were done. That's great that it was a good concert.

The Kaiser Chiefs. I'm hoping we haven't exported them yet. Seriously, just don't- they give indie a bad name.

Aqualung, Goldfrapp, etc- like Radiohead but without the interesting bits. It just makes me want to crawl into a warm place and shoot myself.

All girl and boy bands, with a special mention for Ms Stefani (it's amazing how she's repackaged herself as a former girl band member gone solo. No-one would ever think No Doubt had credibility)

Avril Lavigne= Alanis Morrissette. Wherever Alanis Morrissette is now, that is where Lavigne should be.

There's more, but I'll keep the length down. I hate most modern indie, too.

i don't think there is any music i truly hate....... I cannot stand listening to any pro american, music. there is this one song i kept hearing in nashville that goes something to the effect of
"i'm in america where at least i know i'm free"

i told my friend "free to pay over inflated prices for gas and eat chicken mc nuggets"

Can't stand the Dead either. Can't stand any jingly hippy rock even though I kind of look the part.

Celene
Any girl on pop radio right now (Britney, Hillary, Ashlee)
Bad mainstream country music
most mainstream pop
James Taylor- makes me want to scream
christian rock is pretty bad
Boy bands-in fact anyone who dances too much and can't play an instrument

Wow, I am quite the music snob.

Oh wow, it took me scrolling for PAGES to find someone I totally agree with! (except I don't agree with the exceptions - I truly gag at ALL country music).

I loathe them so much I almost broke my mug of tea trying to respond quickly to this thread. The sound of Geddy Lee brings nothing closer to my heart. And now I'm annoyed that I will have that song in my head all night. :

Time to find something stronger than tea.

THANK YOU!!!!

Geddy Lee is just soooooo grating.

*Enya and most enyaish music
*Bjork I hated Dancer in the Dark so much that I can't bear to listen to her music - and please god don't make me ever see her in a movie again.
*The Dead and most of all those Dead-wannabe-bands - I used to enjoy them until I lived next door to this couple who obsessed over them and for 2 years this is the ONLY thing that they listened to.
*Any poppy Britney, Jessicay like stuff.

Jessica Simpson, she sounds like she's constipated.
That yippy little Martina McBride, dh loves her and I tell him I'd punt her if I could, like a chihuahua. Not that I'd kick a chihuahua.
Toby Keith. Snarl, hiss.

Oh yeah, how could I forget REM? Gag. I had the most fabulous boyfriend and I lurved him, but when I found out he liked REM, it made me rethink the relationship. Yes, everybody hurts, and my ears especially do when I hear that whiny, wimpy is that a man? voice.
