Bible HS study?

I have our curriculum planned out except for Bible/Character subject. (We are non-denominational.)

7 yo DD will be attending church 1x week and AWANAs 1x week. What do ya'll use for daily Bible lessons? Do you have a curriculum, simply do devotions, only touch on character lessons?

Just looking for ideas.

I was reading a few webpages on Notebooking and came across this link, which I bookmarked http://www.calvarychapel.com/childre...curriculum.htm

I'm thinking we'll use this but tone down where necessary to work for a younger child & supplement with other online things found through searches.

Here's what I use:

We focus on one scripture reading for about a month, have a daily prayer and sharing time, and also sing a short song. We also have a prayer box where our children can write to God or draw pictures. We light a candle, get together, and surrender their prayer to God. I participate in this too. We give thanks for happy things, send happy birthdays to people in heaven, and also pray for serious, scary, upsetting things. Last month, our children put a toy soldier in the prayer box and prayed for all those at war and specific friends and family who are deployed. They also pray a lot for the health of our planet or for things that frustrate them.

peace,
teastaigh
