My dd for the past week has had "goopy eyes" every morning when she wakes up. Her eyes aren't pink or anything, just really crusted over. After we get the warm compresses on them and use an eyelash brush to get them out they are usally fine for the rest of the day. Is there anything I can do to lessen the crust in the morning? Any suggestions would be helpful.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.
Goopy Eyes

DS (27 months) had the same thing several weeks back. We just wiped his eyes as needed and washed our hands well (and washed DS's hands a lot so DH & I didn't catch it). He wasn't itching them or anything, and the doc ( a family practice doc and a homeopath) said even if it was a bacterial infection, most infections will clear on their own (without the need for antibiotics or antibacterial ointments).
It took about 2 weeks in total, but the goopy eyes did in fact clear on their own.
I would just keep using the warm compresses as needed & give them time to clear up.

Breastmilk, if you can! If there is any kind of infection, it'll clear it up!
