Luteal phase of only 5 days with and without clomid

I really hope someone can help me out with this. I had a miscarriage back in January and have only ovulated twice (once on my own, once with clomid ,first time, 50mg) since then. Before the mc, I was VERY regular. Anyway, both times I see my LH surge, temp goes up for three days following and then drops the fourth day with AF on fifth.
The doctor was sure clomid would fix ALL these problems, but obviously it didn't. Anyway, can anyone tell me anything at all about this? I have another DR. appointment on Tuesday but I'm really going crazy.I don't think the Dr. actually believes this happened like this, but I have the chart to prove it. Thanks again in advance and LOTS of babydust to all.

My heart is with you. I too have a lutuel phase of 5-8 days. So far it does look like i am ovulating though. i use progesterone cream OTC to help, my GYN told me to take the cream the day after ovulation and everyday for 14 days, then you take a prenancy test. If you are NOT pregnant you stop the cream and should have a period. You should take 200mg prog a day.

The first cycle i was religiously using the cream. I had a 14 day lutuel phase!! Then a normal period. First regular cycle in over a year.

The next cycle i was out of town alot and DID NOT use the cream as much (probably not high enough dosage) and had a 8 day lutuel phase.

I'd suggest asking your doctor, it really has worked for me. Also, your cycles could be weird because after the miscarriage your body is taking a LONG time to adjust. I've been off the pill for a year now and believe that my hormones will get back to normal at some point. But it's a rough road until it happens.

Good Luck!
