What are you doing this weekend?

JUst wanted to hear what people are doing to keep busy. Maybe I will get some ideas.
Today we are going to an auction ( estate sale ) down the road. Those are always fun, especially when an old peely bucket goes for $5,000 or something.
I am not sure about tomorrow. DH and I really want to go out to dinner, but can't find a babysitter. I am trying to find something local and fun to do with DS. It seems like most of the country fairs around here are over for the season.

So...what are you up to?

We are going to the mall this afternoon to walk around for a while. Maybe let DD play at the indoor playarea.

We had a full moon, AND a storm last night, but no dice. Still here waiting.

Going to a pool party this afternoon and (believe it or not) working most of the day tomorrow. Ugh. Really need to get a project finished, and other things sucked 20 hours of my week this week so I am behind. So as much as I don't want to be this big and pregnant any more, I am telling this babe to stay in until Monday night at least! Then -- ANYTIME!!!

Oh yeah, and DP and I have arranged for a babysitter for DD for tomorrow night for our last "date" before the babe. We didn't go out alone for a whole dinner until DD was well past 1 last time!

We had the full moon/storm last night too, and I've been thinking all along that if nothing happened last night, it's not going to happen until September.

We're going to the Farmer's Market this morning, finishing up the playroom this afternoon, setting up the birth tub/filling it at some point this weekend and I hope to get to the park w/ds and dh for some good quality swinging. Tomorrow dh and I are going to a movie while mil watches ds and we're making chicken on the grill.

But what I REALLY hope to do this weekend is rethread my serger and finally finish my wipes for this babe. I've watched the video about 4 times, read the directions a bunch more and I think I'm ready to tackle the beast. It's just so intimidating to me and the mental part is half the battle! Isn't that just the most exciting thing in the world?

I am going to let DH get some rest (he's going to need it for what's coming up!) and DD and I will go out with her best friend and mama to Griffith Park to ride the ponies and merry go round and run around outside for a few hours this morning. This will be good walking for me, it's very close to home and will insure a great time (and nap this afternoon) for DD. We spend a lot of time with DD's best friend and her mama- my DH works a lot and her DH is...well...not around- way too long of a story. DDs are a few weeks apart adn really enjoy each other's company and they live 5 minutes away. So- while I have the extra car seat in the car with no baby to put in it- we've been doing a lot of joint traveling. Then I hope to come home and go into labor!

We're trying to decide about going up to a friend's cabin for the weekend, about 2 hours away. I was all for it yesterday but after a pretty sleepless night with some strong contractions waking me up, maybe we should stay closer to home. I don't want to labor in the car, I've heard that can be pretty miserable, but this will be a great opportunity to see friends and chill out in the woods and swim.....decisions, decisions.
My MW agreed to come check us this morning to get a sense of how things might be progressing and then we can decide. She was going to come with us until another client at 37 weeks started having some difficulties, oh well...
We'll see, otherwise have to come up with an interesting plan B!

We have friends in town, so we had dinner with them last night and dim sum brunch with them this morning. Tonight and tomorrow, we blissfully have no plans. I'd like to sit around and read a good book.

This afternoon, I'm taking a nap since I didn't get to sleep until 3 am last night. -- yawn --

Baby is moving a lot. I'm having lots of surges but not enough to write home about. I'll have a bunch and then they peter out, so I guess my body is still getting things ready.
